How do RFID dice work?
Each RNGESUS die contains a unique RFID chip that acts as a digital fingerprint. When you roll the die near an RFID reader, it captures both the physical roll result and the die's unique identifier, creating a consistent digital personality for each die.
Can I use the dice without the app?
Only if you have like a cyberpunk NFC implant and speak fluent dice. Otherwise, no dice. Seriously though There will be a stand alone scanning unit available soon on the shop page. Can I use these dice to gamble?
Not legally. Or effectively.
How long do the RFID chips last?
The RFID chips are passive and don't require batteries. They have an estimated lifespan of 10-20 years with normal use.
Can I use RNGESUS dice offline?
Yes, though the functionality is limited. The RNGESUS mobile platform is set up so you can ALWAYS roll your dice even if you arent logged in or online, however, roll tracking/sync and social features...pretty much ALL of the expanded functionality will not be accesible.
What happens if I lose my dice?
Don’t panic — your dice aren’t totally gone. Think of them like those little wireless trackers that help you find lost stuff. Just enable location settings when you roll, and the app can guide you back to the location of the last recorded roll. Rolling with peace of mind, basically. Or you could forgo the dice part altogether & just use it as a passive tracker if you wanted.
Can I microwave the dice?
No. Just Don't. What is wrong with you? I mean you I suppose you could... but only once, and why?
How do I sync my dice with the mobile app?
Simply enable NFC on your phone, open the RNGesus app, and tap your die to the back of your phone. The app will automatically detect and add the die to your collection.
